RetroDECK: Backup

The Backup RetroDECK Tool

The Backup RetroDECK tool creates a .tar file of your selected backup type and stores it under:

retrodeck/backups/

Note: Backup duration and required storage space depend on the backup type, your hardware, and the amount of data being backed up.

Using the Backup RetroDECK Tool

1. Open RetroDECK Configurator.
2. Navigate to Data Management Tools → Backup RetroDECK.

3. Choose one of the following backup options:

4. Core Backup: Backs up essential files only, such as saves, states, and gamelists.

5. Custom Backup: Allows selection of specific folders to back up.
6. Complete Backup: Backs up all data, including games and downloaded media.
